2017 has been a FANTASTIC year, full of some incredibly unique ceremonies. What better way to see this uniqueness then through the eyes of a fabulous photographer!

I know! What a super fast year. One sentence summary… 2017 has been a year of growth, travel & love and I’ve loved working with many amazing people!
This year my most favourite (though that is a tough call to make!) would be Hannah & Martin’s August wedding. Their wedding ceremony was in the sun room at Durleston Castle with amazing views along the Dorset coast and Old Harry’s Rock. The very best bit was their families – they were so welcoming and friendly, I really had a great day with many laughs and lovely moments, I really felt very involved in the day and it was lovely watching the bonds between everyone and hearing lots of stories during the speeches!
The more personal you can make it the better, I love when couples write their own vows or promises and tell their love story within the ceremony.
First up is Nicole & David's big day on Saturday April 29th 2017 at The Green House Hotel. This lovely pair kickstarted my season off as the first wedding of 2017 in April, the weather was amazing with gorgeous sun all day. Nicky & David were the sweetest pair and I really enjoyed seeing them enjoy their day, despite both being a little overwhelmed by all the attention! I was able to use my own wealth of wedding experience to help guide them through the day and timeline. One of the best parts of their day was being able to sneak them off to Bournemouth beach for their couple’s portraits - not only did we get to incorporate the elements of seaside living that they love into their images, it was also a well-needed pause to soak in that they were married! They got married at The Green House Hotel which is an environmentally friendly hotel, Nicole’s Dad drove her to the ceremony in his vintage sports car.
Next up is Tom & Nicky's wedding on Saturday 1st July 2017 at Southover House, This wedding was a super fun manor house wedding, where all their friends and family stayed over or camped for a long weekend to celebrate. They had their friend Daniel Dangoor as their wedding celebrant, which put an even more special touch to their ceremony, which all took place outdoors. Their ceremony had readings from close friends and live singing & guitar playing! I really felt all the love at this particular wedding, with one of the best groom’s speech from Tom I’ve ever heard! Nicky’s sister designed and styled the venue with gorgeous rustic and personal touches and they danced into the night with a traditional cèilidh which was great fun to photograph.
And lastly, Hannah & Martin's on Saturday August 19th at Durleston Castle and home reception at parent’s farmland, reading from Hannah’s brother quoting Game of Thrones, wrote their own vows, only Hannah had a ring, Family dog came along too! See also words from above on ‘favourite wedding’ that is this one… Family members travelled from America and Australia to be there.
I love the freedom it gives the couple, to have a much more personal ceremony - and it might mean the location is going to be pretty awesome too!
Getting to see all the weddings of my booked couples – its great to see their plans all come together!
