“Dear Sarah, We just wanted to say thank you so much for all your advice and for enabling us to have the service that we wanted for Mum. Everyone thought that it was a very dignified service. I was a little concerned that my Aunt and Mum's neighbours may have been surprised, so I'd warned them first, but they all thought it was a beautiful and dignified event. I was so glad that we were able to include my Dad 'in the Tribute' and I think that meant a lot to my Aunt, his sister. Mum's neighbours told me that they were relieved not to be sitting through a long service with lots of prayers and hymns. So thank you once again for all your help and advice and for making the service so dignified and appropriate to Mum. Many thanks

Sarah is one of the most genuinely warm, sincere and helpful people you could meet. We employed Sarah to be our Civil Celebrant for our renewal of vows and were so happy with our choice. Sarah had so many ideas, that we hadn't even thought about, based on what we told her about ourselves as a couple. Nothing was too much trouble, which is high praise considering how much of a perfectionist I am! Our day was even better than we had expected it to be and was easily one of the best days our lives. Thank you Sarah (Wickham Civil Ceremonies), you are a star!

We had Sarah to help us with a memorial service to celebrate our mums life. Sarah is such a lovely, caring person helping and guiding us through such a difficult time. She offered advice and ideas to make sure mums send off was a fitting tribute and celebration of mums life.
Thanks again Sarah we will be forever grateful for your kindness and support.

Hi I would just like to thank you from myself and my family for the excellent service you gave for Helens funeral. You portrayed her as exactly the type of person she was, everyone has commented on what a lovely service it was and what a lovely person you are and said that it was exactly what Helen would have wanted. We are also very thankful that you were able to help on such short notice, as I was very concerned after the mistake made that I wouldn't have been able to give Helen the send off she would have wanted. You helped make saying goodbye to the person we loved most in this world a bit easier and made everyone remember her for the best and for that we will be forever grateful. So thank you again from all of us.

I would just like to thank you again so much for the ceremony today, we all thought it was just how she would have liked, which made us all smile a little. The butterfly ceremony was particularly nice and everyone commented on it. Thank you once more from all of the family.

Hi Sarah, I thought you might like to see a photo of the flowers that I grew from the seed impregnated paper you found for Mums' service, The white flowers are the forget-me-knots, then there are 2 green leafy plants to the right but I don't know what they are. My flowers are planted in a border in the garden & I'm so pleased with them, they do indeed remind me of Mum every time I see them.
The photo of the flowers she sent were beautiful but it also shows there are so many ways you can still remember your loved ones and keep them and their memory alive in you.

We as a family would like to express our deepest thanks for the uplifting and dignified service you gave to Beryl. As you know this has been a difficult time but remembering the way you reflected her life meant so much. It helped tremendously during the service that we were able to have a little laugh and smile through a difficult time. Once again we thank you so much! From her husband Bob and all of her loving family xxxxx

We would just like to say thank you once again for the beautiful service yesterday. We can only give you the words to be used and you took those away and worked your magic with them. Everything said expressed the gentle person my father was. Mum took great comfort in seeing you there when we arrived. I think having a familar face to focus on helped keep her calm.

I am sending this email to you to thank you for the beautiful and respectful way that you conducted mum's service on Monday.
As soon as we met you, we felt comfortable with you and your compassion and empathy shone through. You offered advice where needed, without being pushy and listened to us talk about our beloved mum and took everything we said on board. I remember saying to you about my dad's service being quite awful and your reply was to say that mum's wouldn't be, and you were so right. Mum's service was filled with the love that everyone has for her, and with the sorrow that she has left us, something that none of us wanted to happen. It was personal, had some humour and also had some wonderful memories of the times we spent with mum over the years. You brought everything together so well, and showed such compassion to mum and us throughout the service, that I thank you. I thank you for making such a difficult time easier and that little knowing smile as you turned on the soundtrack of Sex Bomb, was beautiful!
Thanks again and my best wishes.

Good morning Sarah,
Just wanted to thank you for your help, support, advice and arrangements for the funeral. Yvonne was very happy at the way things went, as were the 'boys'.
I would certainly recommend you should someone ask my advice on a civic ceremony.
PS thanks for arranging the hailstone! very dramatic!!

We cannot thank you enough for your hard work in the lead up and on the day. The ceremony was perfect, even the struggle to get the letters in the bottle. Neither of us were particularly looking forward to standing up there and speaking in front of everyone but it was lovely and we both thoroughly enjoyed.
Also, thank you so much for the card and prosecco - so lovely of you!
Unfortunately the bottle decided not to fully co-operate after the first letter went in, but we made it work, it got a smile from everyone and it was such a beautiful day and stunning venue so I way really pleased to hear how much they enjoyed their day and got to chance to share a bit of this on a special video. https://www.facebook.com/wanderingvisuals/videos/2141284969426684/

We would just like to say a big thank for yesterday. We can't tell you how grateful we are with everything you had put into the service that celebrated Chris's life. The poetry was beautiful and so right for him and his love of the outdoors. Many people have asked about you and said that the way you spoke was as if you had known Chris personally. Everything was said with so much care, meaning and we don't know if this is the right word - love. When we returned home it was lovely just to sit quietly and read again the copy of the service you gave us.
You are a special person and certainly have a gift.

Sarah Wickham, our celebrant, was perfect, she gave us so many opportunities to meet and discuss what sort of moments we would like during our ceremony. Lighting a candle for our loved ones who couldn’t be present was one my most treasured moments. Sarah was the most humble and amazing person we could’ve imagined to lead the most important part of our Wedding day. We wished to put a letter in a bottle to then open at a treasured moment in our futures- and it went a little wrong during the day- when we had in fact misplaced our letters- Sarah continued and even brought us our own special bottle to put our letters in when we found them. I would also add that Sarah helped out so much on the morning of the wedding. Honestly the hours before the wedding she could not have been more helpful, also Sarah’s calming influence is everything you could want on your wedding day.
I was so touched to have been included in a very special article for Kelsey and Andy's Wedding. It was an amazing day and their full article is below but it was an amazing ceremony and I'm glad they eventually found their letters. It just goes to show it doesn't always have to go to plan to make your day perfect, sometimes it's that exact moment that in fact makes it perfect.

We just want to say a massive thank you for the ceremony and for all your support on the run up to it. All of our guests commented on what a lovely ceremony it was and that it was just perfect for us. You made it a day to remember for us, so thank you! Many thanks Zoe and Dan
This was such a lovely handfasting, which included their 3 children tying the ribbons for me to bless . It was amazing to help such a lovely couple renewing their vows after 18 years of marriage.

We just wanted to say thank you so much for all your hard work leading up to the ceremony! It was wonderful to have you there with us on the day and thought you did a fantastic job. You kept us calm and gave us a chance to build a ceremony which was uniquely ours. We could not have asked for anything better. Thank you as well for the cat book - it's hilarious and we love it! Best wishes, Christina and Rich”
Because we both had cats with a very similar personality (quite mad) and I could not resist giving this couple a little wedding present. A copy of a book my sister had given to me, 'how to tell if your cat is plotting to kill you', which may not fit everyone but it was something we had laughed over and I'm glad they loved it.

We can't thank Sarah enough for being the officiant at our vow renewal. she helped to make our service exactly what we wanted and more! The whole process from start to finish was fantastic and we would highly recommend her services to anyone seeking out an officiant.
The sand ceremony that Kelly and James had included with their daughter and sons was such an amazing touch and so personal to them. It was a real pleasure being able to share this with them. x
Gellifawr | July 2019
'We are just back from our mini moon and we just wanted to once again send you our thanks and gratitude for making our wedding at Gellifawr such a special and amazing day. Everyone who attended commented on how special, unique and enchanting it was.
We have some really special moments in this ceremony, including when their dog Fizzy Woo Woo insisted on being with her owners during the vows. I think that made everyone laugh and is something I will never forget.

While I have taken many ceremonies since 2012 the main reason I love being a celebrant is because I can help my families and couples create ceremonies that are right for them. This may be as simple as a family member remembering something they had forgotten about their loved one that makes them smile and think, how lucky am I to have had them in my life'. When someone says to me, 'their mums service was filled with the love everyone had for her', or that 'being able to to have a little laugh and smile helped through a difficult time' or just that 'it was the perfect send of' and something that their family member would have loved, or 'on what was a tough day, I helped make it special', I know they have been able to have the ceremony they deserve. Its also the same with my wedding couples and baby naming's, being able to give my families the the perfect day so they can turn around and say how 'special, unique and enchanting their day was' , or 'the ceremony was exactly what I wanted and I don't believe I could have found anyone better', is why I became a celebrant.
Being able to share that special moment they will never forget like their daughter walking for the first time at her baby naming, or that moment of laughter when you send a loved one off with a song that will forever remind their family and friends of their loved one. Or just that cheeky kiss the bride and groom may sneak in which makes everyone smile and laugh is something that I am very lucky to be a part of.
If you think I may be the right celebrant for you just give me a call or get in touch. Hopefully my reviews will also give you a nice feel of how I can help.
