Blogging, Outreach and Digital Marketing Superstar

Very RARE and EXCITING opportunity to join a global directory blog. Could this be just what you are looking for?

The Celebrant Directory is recruiting! We are looking for a modern, fresh, exciting new member to come on board as our blogging and digital marketing coordinator! If you have a passion for blogging, love online marketing and want to start working for a global blog in the wedding and funeral industry, then this could be the ideal role for you.

This would suit someone with previous blogging experience, editing and WordPress knowledge. They would need to understand SEO techniques and have an eye of brand.

What you will be doing:
  • Working with Jennifer to put a marketing plan in place for 2021 and 2022
  • Creating monthly emails for members and our mailing list
  • Engaging followers in our members club on Facebook - through posts and FB lives.
  • Working with our social media team to create an engaging strategy with targets on growth (the team will be posting content)
  • Using social media to grow audience including outreach, following, commenting
  • Planning growth for YouTube
  • Working with the social media team to ensure brand quality and post alignment
  • Updating the featured celebrants and creating a plan for growth
  • Managing the adverts on the blog and recruiting
  • Creating a monthly blog strategy and contributing to content
  • Updating the website with calls to action and SEO updates as required
  • Managing our submissions, editing and uploading blogs
  • Managing our ‘SHINE’ series
  • Managing our Industry awards
  • Managing our Pinterest with targeted growth (training provided)
  • Creating and implementing a strategy for growth on our client mailing list
  • Creating and implementing strategy for growth for venues and celebrants listed.
  • Some PR work – engaging with other industry blogs to get featured
  • Organising the weekly Instagram live sessions
  • Running the monthly socials.
  • Keeping the supplier hub up to date on a monthly basis.
  • Coordinate submission for the Funeral Service Journal
  • Keeping abreast of any industry events/updates and notifying members – continuing to shine a light on celebrants and the industry
  • Working with our admin team on any subscription/tech based issues.

 

Targets

 

You will be working to quarterly targets for growth in reference to blogs, SEO traction, audience numbers and Pinterest.

 

Typical Week

 

  • Scheduling Pinterest using Tailwind
  • SEO research/Analytics reporting
  • Uploading 2 blogs
  • Editing or writing 1 blog
  • Connecting with people who have done submissions
  • Welcoming new people into TCD
  • Following new celebrants/engaging on Instagram and FB.
  • Writing emails
  • Running a campaign – The Celebrant Industry Awards for example.
  • Reaching out about ads or featured celebrants
  • Working with Jennifer on mapping out next months recruitment campaign
  • Doing an Insta live lounge with a celebrant – downloading and uploading to YouTube channel
  • Creating some images using Canva
  • Connecting with photographers to source new images for image bank
  • Working with admin team on any troubleshooting or celebrant enquiries

 

Requirements

 

  • Experience working with an online blog
  • Understanding of SEO and meta data
  • Good design-eye and the ability to use Canva/Adobe
  • Know how to use WordPress and upload blogs and images
  • Experience with Facebook and Instagram
  • Ability to work on many projects at once
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Interest in the wedding industry and thirst to learn more
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Creative thinking and collaboration
  • Knowledge of funeral industry is a bonus
  • Knowledge of Pinterest
  • Confident talking to a group of people and happy to do Facebook lives.

 

We are open to training if you don’t not have every element of the above so do reach out if you have the drive and passion to work for us and are willing to get stuck in and learn.

Hours: Approx 20 hours per week
Compensation is negotiable based on experience and commitment.
